Lee Kang-in is back, “likely to return after A-match period”…Asian Games timing still undecided

Lee Kang-in has shaken off his injury and is back in the ditch and training.

France’s ‘SPORT’ reported on Nov. 11 (KST), “Unless there is a relapse, Lee will return to French Ligue 1 play after the A-match period. The good news came as the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player returned to training after a three-day break. After being sidelined since August 22 with a left quadriceps injury, Lee is back. After completing his individual training, he is back with the squad and is making good progress towards his return,” reported L’Equipe.

Lee was injured in the second round of the 2023-24 French Ligue 1 against Toulouse on August 20. Lee was substituted early in the second half and the injury was announced after the game. At the time, PSG announced on their website, “Lee Kang-inn sustained an injury to his left quadriceps. He will receive treatment until the end of the A-match period,” the club announced on its website.

At the time of the injury, it was thought that Lee would not return until mid-September at the earliest. According to French outlet Le Parisien, “After suffering a quadriceps injury, Lee will be out until at least mid-September. Lee, who has started both of PSG’s Ligue 1 matches, will miss the games against Reims and Olympique Lyonnais. Depending on how the injury progresses, he could also miss the UEFA Champions League (UCL).”

Fortunately, Lee’s rehabilitation began quickly. PSG released a video of the player’s rehabilitation on March 25. Since then, he has been working on cycling and core training. Recently, PSG also released a photo of him training, where we can see him in action.

With Lee back in full training with the team, the next question is when PSG will decide to call up Lee for the Hangzhou Asian Games. Hwang Sun-hong, the head coach of the Hangzhou Asian Games team, told local reporters on May 5 that Lee Kang-jin’s recovery is progressing quickly and that he will receive a final call from PSG on May 13.

While Huang is eager to have Lee join the team as soon as possible, he is also an important asset for PSG. With Lionel Messi and Neymar on the way out, PSG are unsure of who will be able to deliver attacking passes from the midfield. As such, PSG coach Luis Enrique is reportedly considering using Lee in the middle of the park. 카지노

PSG will host Nice on Nov. 16 in the fifth round of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season. A decision will be made soon on whether to send Lee to Nice in a new role or to help PSG in their quest for gold at the Asian Games. The team’s first match at the Asian Games will be on June 19.
