Professional soccer’s K League 2 Gyeongnam FC rode a multi-goal performance from Gleison to beat the Ansan Greeners to extend its winning streak to five games and regain the lead.
Gyeongnam won 3-1 at home against Ansan in the 20th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at the Changwon Football Center on Monday, thanks to Gleason’s two-goal performance.
With their fifth straight win, Gyeongnam (36 points) knocked Busan I-Park (34 points) down to second place and regained the top spot for the first time in a month, after losing on March 11.
Ansan, on the other hand, fell into a serious slump of seven straight defeats and no wins in 10 matches (two draws and eight losses) to remain in 12th place.
Gyeongnam opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the first half through Gleason.
After a goal kick attempted by Ansan goalkeeper Kim Sun-woo fell in his own half, Mo Jae-hyun quickly collected the ball, drove to the right side of the penalty area and sent in a cross.
Gleason was waiting in the wings and redirected the ball with his right foot from the front of the goal area to rattle the net.
Gleison completed his multi-goal performance in the 44th minute when he headed home a cross from the right side of the penalty area by Woo Ji-sung from the edge of the box.
With his ninth and 10th goals of the season, Gleison became the first K League 2 player to reach double figures this season. 토토사이트
