‘100% pass completion rate’ Lee returns to PSG…scores in 2-0 win over Dortmund, now heads to Hangzhou for gold medal

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) earned a 2-0 victory over Dortmund in the first leg of their 2023-24 UEFA Champions League (UCL) Group F match at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, at 4:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday. With Newcastle United and AC Milan tied in their group, PSG started the UCL with a clean sheet.

Ahead of the match, the starting lineup was revealed. PSG started Kylian Mbappe, Randal Kolo-Mbah a Moute, Ousmane Dembele, Warren Zaire Emery, Manuel Ugarte, Vitinha, Ashraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Milan Skriniar, Luca Hernandez, and Gianluigi Donnarumma. For Dortmund, Donny Marlon started alongside Karim Adeyemi, Julian Leroy, Marcel Xavier, Emre Can, Julian Brandt, Marius Wolff, Niko Schlotterbeck, Mats Hummels, Niklas Ziele, and Gregor Kovel.

Mbappe threatened Dortmund right from the start, using his pace to get into the penalty box in the first minute and 20 seconds, before crossing for Kolo-Mbah a Mbah a Moute, but Zouleh was there to make the first save. PSG set the tone early on. In the fourth minute, Dembele delivered a sharp free kick. In front of the goal, Lukaku followed up with a shot, but a defender got in his way and he couldn’t direct it properly.
